Hi--I just read your sad post about Thistle. We also have one particular window that seems to attract bird strikes (maybe the way it reflects the trees outside?) Anyway, the thing we found that finally helped was hanging long strips of mylar tape (the shiny, silvery kind that's made to hang in your garden to deter birds) outside the window. They flutter in the breeze & are very bright and noticeable to the birds--we haven't had problems since doing that. It looks a little odd at first, but not bad.
